The Airfree P3000 Plus is a filterless air purifier that uses heat, not filters, to clean the air. Airfree's exclusive, patented Thermodynamic Sterilizing System (TSS™) Technology destroys up to 99.9% of the microorganisms that pass through it, including mold spores, bacteria, viruses, pollen, pet dander allergens and dust mite allergens, while also helping reduce harmful indoor ozone levels. The PLUS adds a Boost mode for faster air sterilization when you need it, and it covers rooms up to 650 square feet.

How Airfree's TSS™ Technology Works
Airfree applies the same idea as boiling water: heat destroys microorganisms. Inside the PLUS is a patented ceramic core with tiny heated ducts.
Room air enters the Airfree PLUS through natural air convection.
Microorganisms are destroyed inside the ceramic core at temperatures close to 400°F.
The sterilized air is cooled before it leaves the unit.
The purified air spreads back into the room.
Because Airfree destroys microorganisms instead of holding them in a filter, there's no contaminated filter to handle or throw away. The process adds no ions, ozone, UV light or chemicals to your air, and Airfree says it makes no noticeable change to room temperature or humidity.
Boost Mode for Faster Air Sterilization
When you want to clean the air faster, turn on Boost mode. It activates the unit's fan to move more air through the TSS™ core and speed up the sterilization process. With Boost mode off, the Airfree PLUS works in complete silence.
The fan is designed for temporary use. Airfree recommends running it a maximum of 2 hours at a time. After that, the light by the fan turns from blue to red as a reminder to give the fan a rest. The unit keeps working, and you can reset the light to blue by holding the Airfree button for 3 to 5 seconds.
Optional Carbon and Particle Capsules
The Airfree PLUS is one of Airfree's hybrid models. Its air sterilization works on its own, and you can add optional activated carbon and particle capsules when you need extra help with odors, chemicals, VOCs or particles. Use them only when needed, such as after bringing home new furniture or when outdoor pollution gets inside.
Easy to Operate
Control the Airfree PLUS with its touch sensor, the included remote control or the Airfree smartphone app. The adjustable blue night light can be dimmed or turned off, and it doesn't affect sterilization, which makes the PLUS a nice fit for bedrooms and nurseries.
Where to Use the Airfree PLUS
The Airfree PLUS is a good choice for allergy and asthma sufferers and for spaces where mold, germs or bacteria are a concern. It works well in bedrooms, nurseries, living rooms, offices, bathrooms, playrooms, pantries and walk-in closets.
Tips for Best Results
Keep it on: Airfree works gradually, so leave it plugged in 24 hours a day, even when you're away. If it's turned off or the power goes out, it takes about the same amount of time to bring contamination back down.
Keep it in one room: Moving the unit from room to room lets contamination build back up in the first room. For more rooms, consider an Airfree for each one.
Place it in the room you want cleaned: A unit in a hallway mainly cleans the hallway, not the rooms next to it.
Keep it upright: The unit needs to stand in its vertical position to work properly.
Small spaces: A closet or closed room should be at least 43 sq ft (353 cu ft) so the space doesn't warm up.
Check that it's working: The top lid should feel warm. If it's cold, try another outlet and make sure the unit has been upright for at least a minute.

Silent or Hybrid?
Most Airfree models have no fan at all, so they work in complete silence around the clock. The P3000 Plus and Elite are Airfree’s hybrid models. Each adds a fan and can use capsules when you want extra help with odors, smoke, chemicals or particles, then goes back to silent TSS™ operation when the fan is off. Both hybrids can be run from a remote control or smartphone app, and the Elite also works with voice assistants.
