AllerAir's Medical Grade True HEPA H13 filters are Made in the USA and are ISO 29463.

ISO 29463 is the newest of many HEPA classification standards. AllerAir's HEPA filters not only conform to ISO 29463, Group ISO35H but also to European Standard EN 1822, Class H13, and USA Mil STD 282 for HEPA filters (99.97% at 0.3 micron removal).

For best filtration and the healthiest environment, it is recommended to routinely clean/change your AllerAir filters on a regular basis.

Typically, a unit is run constantly (24*7, 365 days a year) on low to medium.  With standard environmental contaminants and usage, it is recommend to change the filters as follows:

Pre Filters

UV lamp (If needed)

  • Best to replace every 12-18 months Every 12 months or 12,000 hours even if blue light is still working, the coating is worn off.

Allerair recommends that HEPA and Carbon be changed together for optimal performance

  • HEPA Filter or SuperHEPA
    • Can also be visually inspected and as with pre filters, when both sides are of similar, this is an indication to change your HEPA filter.
    • Regular household usage would require renewal every  Every 2-3 Years
  •   Carbon Filter
    • Found inside the unit, in a canister, smell the exhaust from a few inches away and if an unpleasant sour odor is emitting, this in an indication that your carbon filter requires renewal.
    • Regular household usage would require renewal every Every 2-3 Years

*Please Take note that the above estimated time periods all vary and depend, based on your usage and the odors/contaminants in your space. However, the above is best used as an estimate and general guideline.

The level of contaminants and health concerns play an important role in the frequency of AllerAir filter changes.  As you use your unit, you will become familiar with what is best for your personal situation.
