According to a recent report from the World Health Organization (WHO), worsening air quality as a result of global climate change is going to have a major – and disastrous – effect on people’s health worldwide in the future. Protecting our health as an international community is one of the major goals of the new Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations that were first announced by the Obama administration at the beginning of last month.

While the EPA regulations have yet to go into effect, they are hoping for a 30 percent reduction in carbon dioxide emissions across the country by the year 2030.
