The Airpura P700 air purifier covers up to 2,500 sq. ft. Airpura P700 and P714: Complete Chemical, Particle and Germ Filtration
The Airpura P700 and P714 air purifiers offer complete filtration for VOCs, airborne chemicals and odors as well as particles and microorganisms, so you can enjoy healthier, safer air. They combine the TitanClean photocatalytic oxidizer, an 18 watt UV germicidal lamp, 18 lbs of activated carbon and a 40 sq ft True HEPA filter in one unit.
Airpura's 700 series delivers more air flow than any other unit, and the P700 shows excellent abatement rates, especially for toluene and benzene.
How TitanClean Photocatalytic Oxidation Works
Inside the P700, UV light activates the TitanClean titanium dioxide (TiO2) oxidizer. The reaction that follows breaks apart the molecular bonds of airborne chemicals and turns them into smaller, safer compounds, until only carbon dioxide and water vapor are left. That greatly widens the range of chemicals the P700 can neutralize, including chemicals that are difficult to trap in carbon, such as methanol.
Carbon, HEPA and UV Working Together
The 18 lb activated carbon bed adsorbs airborne chemicals and odors, while the HEPA filter traps fine particles. The 18 watt UV germicidal lamp works in concert with the TitanClean oxidizer and helps the P700 address microorganisms where mold, germs and pathogens are a concern. Together, these stages make the P700 one of the most complete air cleaning systems available today.
P700 vs. P714: What's the Difference?
The P700 and P714 are identical except for the HEPA. Everything else, including the TitanClean PCO, UV lamp, 18 lbs of activated carbon, motor and housing, is the same.
Airpura P700: 40 sq ft True HEPA filter that traps 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns.
Airpura P714: H14 SuperHEPA filter that traps 99.99% of particles as small as 0.1 microns, a strong choice for people who want a finer micron size filtered right out of the box.
Quieter, More Powerful 7-Series Motor
If you loved the Airpura P600, you will love the P700. The two are similar, but the P700 features Airpura's 7-series motor, which is quieter and more powerful than the original 6-series motor. Variable fan speed lets you fine-tune the setting for your space, and casters make it easy to move from room to room.
Coverage and Best Fan Speed
The P700 / P714 is effective up to 2,500 sq. ft. (depending on model and speed).
Because the P700 uses UV and TitanClean photocatalytic oxidation (which also uses UV), it works best on a lower speed. Running it slower instead of on high gives the air a longer dwell time near the UV and PCO technology, so you get the most out of it. In very small areas, a 700-series unit like the P700 can sometimes create a vortex effect. That means the unit can draw its own clean air back in instead of moving air through the whole room. To reduce that risk in a small space, we recommend more than one 400-series unit or a P600 instead.

Many factors come into play when choosing an air purifier, including the contaminants, coverage (enough air changes for the level of off-gassing), how quickly things are off-gassing, particulate matter and your own sensitivities. The uses above are suggestions. Air purification isn\'t a black-and-white science, and things outside our control, like humidity or where the unit is placed, affect results.
