Airpura T400DLX air purifier covers 1000 sq ft (depending on model and speed) and is specifically designed for heavy tobacco smoke and cigar use. It is designed to remove 4000 chemicals, tars and gases found in tobacco smoke. The 26 lb impregnated carbon bed adsorbs over 4000 harmful chemicals, gases and at least 60 carcinogens.

Similar to the T400; however, the premium carbon found in the T400DLX has been impregnated & specifically is designed for maximum adsorption of these chemicals.

If you loved the larger T700DLX, then you will love the newer T400DLX models designed for smaller spaces.

Airpura T400DLX air purifier is specifically designed for HEAVY tobacco smoke and cigar smoke and is designed to remove 4000 chemicals, tars, and gases found in tobacco smoke. Covers up to 1000 sq ft depending on model and speed. The 26 lb impregnated carbon bed adsorbs over 4000 harmful chemicals, gases and at least 60 carcinogens.

Similar to the T700, but offers greater adsorption of the harmful chemicals.

Please note: As of 2021, the gaskets are now neoprene.

Recommended to have 10-12 air changes an hour for a heavy smoke area.

A HEPA-Barrier is used in Airpura's C and DLX models. The HEPA-Barrier is 95% at 1 micron since the space is predominantly used for carbon for VOC, gases and odor adsorption. The C and DLX units focus primarily on VOCs, gases, and odors, instead of ultrafine (.3 microns) particulates like a True HEPA canister. A True HEPA Canister is 99.97% effective to .3 microns.

The T700DLX uses a HEPA-Barrier, not a True HEPA so it filters to 1 micron, not .3 micron, but is stronger for VOCs, odors, and gases.

Also keep in mind that numerous factors come into play when considering an air purifier such as but not limited to the contaminants, coverage (sufficient air changes for the level of off gasing), speed of off-gasing, particulate matter, sensitivities of the consumer and much more.

There is a lot of gray area that affects the results such as things that are out of our control like humidity or even the location of the unit.
