Budget Air Purifiers: Awesome Units That Won’t Break the Bank

budget air purifiers

Using an air purifier to promote overall health and wellness is a practice that can benefit anyone and everyone. Many people, however, are still without a home air purification system because many of the units they have come across are too expensive for them to reasonably afford. At US Air Purifiers, we understand that not everyone has the money sitting around to buy a $1,000+ unit, but that doesn’t mean you should miss out on the benefits of clean air. To help buyers on a budget, we’ve put together a list of the best low-cost units. But, don’t let the prices on these budget air purifiers fool you. They’re all high-quality units that will do a great job of cleaning the air you and your family breathe.

Blueair 211: Our Top Budget Air Purifier Pick

blueair 211 air purifier

Rather than save the best for last, let’s jump right into our favorite inexpensive air purifier, the Blueair 211. This recently-released unit from Blueair is a compact HEPA purifier that comes in multiple pre-filter colors, making it easy to incorporate into the decor of any room you choose to use it in. The Blueair 211 covers 540 square feet, cycles air at a rate of 5 rotations per hour and operates at a nearly silent noise level with 360-degree air intake. Even with all these features, the 211 is priced at just $249, making it one of the best budget air purifiers on the market today. Apparently, we aren’t the only ones who think so, as the Blueair 211 was recently rated “highest value” by Consumer Reports.

Amaircare Roomaid

Another contender in the category of inexpensive air purifiers is the Amaircare Roomaid, a small HEPA unit that’s ideal for rooms and living spaces. Though it is certainly a great value, the Roomaid comes in a little below the Blueair 211 as a value proposition because it will only cover 300 square feet. Despite this limitation, the Amaircare Roomaid is still an awesome little unit featuring all-steel construction, 360-degree air intake and a price tag of just $199.

Rabbit Air BiGS 2.0

Another of our favorite budget air purifiers comes from Rabbit Air. The BioGS 2.0 is an inexpensive air purifier featuring both HEPA and carbon filtration, making it one of the lowest-cost units to offer filtering for both particulate and gaseous contaminants. Covering 550 square feet and coming in at just $369.95, the BioGS 2.0 is a relatively low-cost air purifier that will deliver excellent protection.

Bonus Unit: Field Controls TRIO

Another unit that deserves to be on a list of highest value air purifiers is the Field Controls TRIO, a medical-grade unit equipped with UV, HEPA and carbon filtration and capable of removing everything from dust to viruses from the air. Although it comes in at a higher price point than most on this list at $698, the TRIO is still an incredible value proposition. Not only is it one of the best air purifiers available on the consumer market, but it also offers relatively low annual maintenance costs because of its long filter and bulb life. For a buyer with a slightly higher budget, the TRIO is an awesome option.

Of course, there are other budget air purifiers out there, but these are some of the best we’ve come across. If you’re in the market for an air purifier but don’t have tons of money to spend, we encourage you check these units, especially the Blueair 211, out.
